Interfaith Prayer Services & Ramadan Celebrations

On May 14th, 2020, Chestnut Retreat Center and Monroe County United organized an interfaith prayer service dedicated to the victims of the COVID-19 pandemic all around the globe. The event hosted participants representing five different faiths and Dlovan Kareem was the representative of CRC. Additionally, Rabbi Peg from the Congregation of B’nai Harim, Pastor Beth from the First Presbyterian Church, Reverend Kim Wilson from Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Poconos, and Francesca from Jinyin Temple were among the audience. Though CRC used to traditionally organize a Ramadan dinner every year, it could not host one this year due to the COVID-19 regulations.
