CRC held its annual Thanksgiving Dinner last week

Saylorsburg, November 26, 2021

Last week, CRC held its annual Thanksgiving Dinner. This year due to Covid restrictions, we invited guests over two nights to maximize capacity. We came together with our neighbors and friends in our multipurpose hall at our center. Both nights were filled with love, laughter and thanksgiving.

We invited Chef Mahmut all the way from Canada and he cooked the most delicious meal for us. We also had a music group from Virginia who kept us company with beautiful traditional Turkish music throughout the night. We even had an impromptu performance from two of our guests. Our most talented calligraphist Mr. Salih made everyone’s night with his beautiful art as gifts.

Our theme this year was Community, and to commemorate we had a “Community wall” where everyone was able to go up and write what they thought community meant for them. For us, the community is having all our friends and neighbors together at the dinner table celebrating each other and celebrating our unity. The attendees also had a chance to get the books on various subjects from art social sciences sponsored by ANT Bookstore. We thank each and everyone one of you for coming out and sharing this Thanksgiving meal with us. We hope to see everyone soon at upcoming events.
