We are living through a period that is entirely under the shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic. According to official records, 550,000 people in the U.S. alone and approximately three million people worldwide lost their lives as a result of this pandemic. However, during this period of extreme isolation and self-protection, there have been unnamed heroes risking their lives every day such as healthcare workers, postal service officers, firefighters, food pantry volunteers, and many more.
Although we cannot thank them enough, we, as the CRC, wanted to express our sincere gratitude and endless support. Thus, throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we organized various events as part of our social responsibility for the common good with the assistance of our volunteers.

Meals

CRC’s community members appreciate and applaud all healthcare workers during this difficult time. CRC provided food to the Lehigh Valley Health Network Pocono Hospital and Lehigh Valley Hospital Bangor location several times in the spring of 2020 to show our gratitude to all healthcare providers who continue to fight on the front lines during this pandemic.

Masks

With donations from 30 families and aid from Embrace Relief, we have donated 1,000 masks to St. Luke’s University Health Network Monroe Campus.

Arts

Children from our community showed their appreciation for healthcare workers by making art for them. Leyla was one of them.
