On August 23rd, 2020, Monroe County United hosted an event with Chestnut Retreat Center called “Meet Our Muslim Neighbors” to introduce CRC to the local community in the Poconos.
The event also drew the attention of local media outlets and made the front page of the Pocono Record.
Honi kicked off the event by welcoming everyone and then handed the floor to Busra and Ali, who delivered a brief presentation about CRC’s history, ideals, and activities. The presentation was followed by a Q&A session where participants were able to comment and ask questions.
